Obituary for Daniel Lawrence Nyson

Daniel Lawrence Nyson, age 59, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 31, 2019 at his home in Douglass Township.  He was born February 26, 1959 in Fremont, the son of Lawrence and Loretta (Lampman) Nyson.  He was married to Mary Beth Wardell on September 18, 1982.  Dan was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed woodworking and driving around in his “big blue truck”.  He enjoyed helping the Peterson family on their hobby farm.  Dan also specialized in teaching his grandchildren to misbehave, and was a wonderful grandpa.  Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Beth, on May 16, 2017.  He was also preceded in death by his father, Larry Nyson; parents-in-law, William and Mary Wardell; and several other in-laws.  He is survived by his mother, Loretta Nyson; children, Beth (Jason) Townes, Danny Nyson, and Jake Nyson; grandchildren, Lilianah, Nataliah, Tamara, Chelsie and Mari; brothers, Dana (Anya) Nyson and Tod (Kim) Nyson; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Diana Martin, Dan Wardell, Clara Wardell, Sue Jonker, Joe (Nancy) Wardell, Ann (Lloyd) Seese, Patty (Mike) Smith, and Sandy (Roger) Hamel; and many nieces and nephews.  In accordance with Dan’s wishes, no public services will be held.  Private burial in Coral Cemetery will take place in the spring.
